The Chronicles of Skyrim Nick: A Task Appointed

Skyrim Nick

At Skyrim’s launch, I headed out to my local gaming store. It was midnight in our realm. No matter… for I had to reign in my pre-ordered copy of the Elder Scrolls V. Upon my entering this castle of gaming, I quickly noticed, there in front of me, a mysterious cloaked figure. I knew right away that this hooded man was not to be taken lightly. I stepped to the counter, and he spoke. There was ringing in my ears. Before leaving, I knew I had to document this encounter. It was historic.

I asked the man of darkened cloak if he would allow me to photograph him for all to see. He asked me why I would want to capture his image. I told him it was because none would believe me when I speak of the tale. He agreed. As I was taking the picture, I asked him by what name does he travel. He looked at me with only a slight hint of one visible eye from under the shadow of his hood. He spoke. He said his name was ‘Nick of Skyrim’.

I asked from whence does he travel from, and to where is his journey taking him. He simply said, “Nick of Skyrim is ever present. You know not where you may see me again. Yet, I will reveal myself to you, and to you alone. For you will chronicle the goings to and from of Nick of Skyrim, though you may never again see me in person. I will reveal myself to you in my magical wonder. You will share with the world that which has been shown to you. My travels will be for you to chronicle.”

I wanted to know more. I wanted to know how I would see him again. I knew I should not anger this dark presence of mystery. I stepped backwards so as not to offend him by turning my back. I made way to the door, and to this day, I have not seen Nick of Skyrim in person again. However, he has revealed his mystery to me once again. As I played Skyrim, I saw him in front of my very eyes. He was in Skyrim. Quickly grabbing my phone, I took a picture. Now, you can view the two times I have seen the one I refer to as Skyrim Nick. The first is when I received my copy of the game. The second is in the game itself.

Thus begins the Chronicles of Skyrim Nick….

Technical Difficulties is what this should have been called considering all the issues this episode had with getting made. I guess 41 straight without a problem isn’t too bad. Well, this episode I discuss the new Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunters Club for those looking to save money in the long haul. We also talk about all the new releases and the games we are currently playing, which is a great way to find out the truth about these games you may be curious about. Enjoy!

Playstation Weekly Netcast Episode 41

I hope you enjoyed the shorter show last week … because this time we have a lot to cover. We list our top 5 favorite horror games of all time. We take a look at the difference between the Battlefield series and the Modern Warfare games. Specifically, we look at what separates the two new modern combat games this year. After being able to finally see one, Jeremy and I discuss our first impressions of the upcoming Playstation 3D Gaming Display. You may be surprised at what is said about it from self professed Sony Fanboys.

Topics range from Mark Hamill leaving the Joker, PSN Stalkers, Assassin Creed movie, and more. Enjoy!

Playstation Weekly Netcast Episode 40

This is one of our shortest shows yet. We had a lot of technical difficulties and this lead to some tired and worn out hosts. Also, it was a rather slow week in the way of gaming news. Since some of the biggest titles of the year are on their way, we should all have a great deal to talk about in the upcoming weeks.

Topics range from the PS Vita Launch Annoucement, System Bundles, Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunters Club. Enjoy!

Playstation Weekly Netcast: Episode 39

Playstation Weekly Netcast Episode 39

This episode was originally almost 2 hours in length. We had a great time recording this for you. I ended up editing it down to a little over an hour. We do our best to keep it at an hour or a little over for you, but sometimes we just get on a roll and can’t stop ourselves. Having Wes, a self-professed Xbox fanboy, on the show this week really made things interesting.

Our topics range from PSN Id’s being stolen, and how this is not Sony’s fault this time but a third party instead, to attempting a guess as to what exactly the latest, and possibly coolest Sony Playstation commercial, actually means, if anything. Enjoy!

Actually Enjoying Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Beta Now

In the last netcast (Episode 38) I was fairly harsh about the Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Beta. To be fair, I decided to give it another go. It seems that some of the issues have been fixed. This is a solid game for the most part. Looking forward to seeing it in full war mode with tanks, jets, and helicopters though. Log on tonight and give it a drive. They have asked for us to stress test their servers this weekend anyway. See you on the Battlefield.
